Method for producing animal or plant eucaryotic cells or cell clusters, resistant to streptothricin or analogues thereof, including the steps of transforming said eucaryotic cells with a plasmid containing an exogenous DNA sequence coding for a streptothricin acetyl transferase (SAT), which comprises the DNA sequence coding for said streptothricin acetyl transferase (DNA-SAT) in an appropriate position, and one or more DNA sequences coding for elements controlling the expression of said DNA-SAT sequence in said cells, and selecting the cells resistant to streptothricin or its analogues after their transformation.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'obtention de cellules ou amas de cellules eucaryotes, animales ou végétales, résistantes à la streptothricine ou à ses analogues comprenant les étapes suivantes: transformation desdites cellules eucaryotes par un plasmide contenant une séquence d'ADN exogène codant pour une streptothricine acétyl transférase (SAT) comportant la séquence d'ADN codant pour ladite streptothricine acétyl transférase (ADN-SAT) située en orientation convenable et une ou plusieurs séquences d'ADN codant pour les éléments contrôlant l'expression de ladite séquence d'ADN-SAT dans lesdites cellules, et sélection des cellules résistantes à la streptothricine ou à ses analogues après transformation.
