There is provided a method and apparatus for selective removal of materials present on an object A in one or more layers B by surface abrasion by projection onto the surface of the object A of a moving fluid composed of a gas and solid particles conveyed in the gas. The apparatus comprises at least two reservoirs (11,13,15) for solid particles (21, 22, 23) of at least two different sizes communicating with a single reservoir 30 trough conduits (24,25,26). Each conduit (24,25,26) has an obturator (27,28,29) movable between open and closed positions and the single reservoir (30) is connected to a further conduit (36) provided with a nozzle (37) situated in the proximity of the surface layer B to be stripped. Particles (31) are mixed in "T" joint (34) with gas from an air compressor (35) and directed out of the nozzle (37). The average granulometry of the particles (31) is adjusted, by removing and/or adding other solid particles, so as to adapt the average granulometry of the particles (31) to the nature of the object A and/or the state of its surface.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour le prélèvement sélectif des matériaux par la projection sur la surface de l'objet (A) d'un fluide en mouvement qui comporte un gaz et des particules solides transportées dans ce dernier. Le dispositif comporte au moins deux réservoirs (11, 13, 15) pour particules solides (21, 22, 23) ayant au moins deux granulométries différentes et liées à un seul réservoir (30) par canalisations (24, 25, 26). Chaque canalisation (24, 25, 26) comporte un obturateur (27, 28, 29) pouvant se déplacer entre la position d'ouverture et la position de fermeture. Le seul réservoir (30) est lié à une autre canalisation (36) pourvu d'une buse (37) qui se trouve à proximité de la couche superficielle (B) à décaper. On mélange les particules (31) dans le joint "T" (34) avec du gaz fourni par un compresseur d'air (35) et on expulse le mélange par la buse (37). On règle la granulométrie moyenne (31) des particules en enlevant et/ou en ajoutant d'autres particules afin d'adapter la granulométrie moyenne des particules (31) à la nature de l'objet (A) et/ou l'état de sa surface.
