A method for setting the quantity of light by which a specified exposure energy is produced without degrading the luminous efficiency of an array in which light-emitting thyristors having an I-L characteristic that the luminous efficiency decreases in low-current region are arranged is disclosed. To produce a specified exposure energy, the range of the density D of the current flowing through a thyristor is limited by 3 x Dth< D < 100MA/m2 wh ere Dth is the light-emitting threshold current density equivalent to the current density corresponding to the current value determined by the point at which the tangential line of the I-L characteristic curve at the current value corresponding to the current density of 50MA/m2 intersects the current axis.
L'invention concerne un procédé de réglage de la quantité de lumière permettant de produire une énergie d'exposition spécifiée sans dégrader le rendement lumineux d'un réseau dans lequel sont disposés des thyristors émetteurs lumineux ayant une caractéristique I-L que le rendement lumineux réduit en zone de faible courant. Pour produire une énergie d'exposition spécifiée, la portée de la densité D du courant traversant un thyristor est limitée par 3 x D¿th? < D < 100MA/m?2¿. D¿th? représente la densité du courant de seuil émetteur lumineux équivalent à la densité de courant correspondant à la valeur de courant déterminée par le point d'intersection de la tangente de la courbe caractéristique I-L à la valeur de courant correspondant à la densité de courant de 50MA/m?2¿, et de l'axe de courant.
