Abstract of the Disclosure There is disclosed a method for the disposal of sewage from a plurality of household connections. A specific volume of sewage, for example 5 to 30 litres, is first collected from each house and then suctioned off by vacuum. Air is then released into the vacuum pipe in an amount of 2 to 15 times the volume of the sewage. This system permits operation of sewage removal against gravity in locations with unfavourable natural incline. The relatively large volume of air used compared to the small increments of sewage disposed enables improved conveyance capacity even with comparatively narrow pipes.
