A method for shaping peripheral edges of lenses for eyeglasses, comprises the phases of: fixing the lens to a gripping support able to let it rotate around a fixed axis; setting a relative positioning of the lens with a laser beam which is positioned along a line inclined with respect to the fixed axis and is oriented to intercept a peripheral edge of the lens; carving on the lens a first annular edge surface by activation of the laser beam and by the revolution of the lens around the axis; carving on the lens a second annular surface of edge, converging in a corner with the first annular surface, by the relative positioning of the laser beam and of the lens such as to determine the intersection of the laser beam with the first annular position, the last carving phase being effected by a revolution of the lens around the fixed axis.
Méthode pour former le bord externe de lentilles pour articles de lunetterie comportant les phases suivantes : fixation de la lentille à un support de retenue autorisant un mouvement de rotation de la lentille autour d'un axe; réglage de la position relative de la lentille à l'aide d'un faisceau laser positionné le long d'une ligne inclinée par rapport à l'axe de rotation et orientée de manière à intercepter le bord externe de la lentille; découpage au faisceau laser d'une première surface annulaire au rebord de la lentille mise en rotation autour de l'axe de rotation; découpage au faisceau laser d'une deuxième surface annulaire convergeant avec la première surface annulaire en modifiant la position relative du faisceau laser et de la lentille de manière à produire l'intersection du faisceau laser avec la première surface annulaire; la dernière phase de découpage au faisceau laser est effectuée par rotation de la lentille autour de l'axe de rotation.
