A method and/or system for stabilizing the operation of fractionally spaced equalizers comprising a number of taps (P), associated with which are respective equalization coefficients (c -L, ..., C L), used in digital signal receivers, said equalization coefficients (c -L, ..., C L) being updatable through an algorithm (1) based on the minimization of a proper cost function (J) and stabilized for operation through a proper modification (I) involving calculation of a plurality of values (I i) to be considered in updating said equalization coefficients (c -L, ..., C L). According to the invention, said values (I i) are calculated in only one circuit (COMP) and serially transmitted to the fractionally spaced equalizer (FSE).
Méthode et(ou) système permettant de stabiliser le fonctionnement d'égaliseurs à espacements fractionnels (FSE) utilisés dans des récepteurs de signaux numériques et comprenant un certain nombre de prises (P) respectivement associées à des coefficients d'égalisation (c-L, ..., C L). Ces coefficients (c-L, ..., C L) sont actualisables au moyen d'un algorithme (1) basé sur la minimisation d'une fonction de coût propre (J), et stabilisés au moyen d'une modification (I) comprenant le calcul d'un certain nombre de valeurs (Ii) nécessaires à l'actualisation desdits coefficients d'égalisation (c-L, ..., C L). Selon l'invention, lesdites valeurs (Ii) sont calculées dans un seul circuit (COMP) et transmises en série au FSE.
