In a method for the graphic representation of additional information that is available as a two-dimensional representation per se, and that supplements a stereoscopically represented area, the additional information is pictured in a depth of a represented area, which is in a predetermined relationship with the depth of the existing objects in the represented area. Furthermore, the invention comprises a method for representing objects which are situated behind the observer, a method in which the depth of the area can be represented as wider than it is in reality.
