A method sticks onto a curved surface of a substrate a functional film (4) that has a substantially planar initial shape. To this end, the film (4) is retained on a deformable membrane (1) by connecting means (2) that allow portions of said film to slip relative to the membrane when said membrane is deformed. This reduces stresses that are created in the film by the deformation. The method is adapted for applying a functional film to an ophthalmic lens.

L'invention concerne un procédé de collage de film fonctionnel (4) sur une surface courbe de substrat, ledit film ayant une forme initiale sensiblement plane. A cet effet, le film (4) est retenu sur une membrane déformable (1) par un système de liaison (2) qui permet à des parties du film de glisser par rapport à la membrane lorsque celle-ci est déformée. On réduit ainsi les contraintes qui apparaissent dans le film suite à la déformation. Le procédé décrit est utile pour appliquer un film fonctionnel à une lentille ophtalmique.
