The invention relates to a method for surface stabilizing a component by means of a laser shock beam method, in which a laser beam generated by a processing laser is used to decompose a coating applied to a metal surface for stabilizing of the component with formation of a plasma by evaporation or pyrolysis, such that the surface is plastically deformed by a shock wave generated by the interaction of the plasma with the metal surface. The laser shock beam method is monitored by recording the light emission values of the plasma. The light emission values are recorded by means of a measuring laser at a delay with relation to the decomposition of the coating by means of the processing laser.

L'invention concerne un procédé de solidification de surface d'un composant à l'aide d'un processus à faisceau de choc laser. Selon le procédé, un faisceau laser produit par un laser de traitement est employé pour désintégrer un revêtement appliqué sur une surface métallique du composant, à solidifier, avec formation d'un plasma par évaporation ou pyrolyse, de telle manière qu'une onde de choc produite par interaction entre le plasma et la surface métallique provoque une déformation plastique de la surface, le processus à faisceau de choc laser étant contrôlé par détection de valeurs d'émissions lumineuses du plasma. Selon l'invention, les valeurs d'émissions lumineuses du plasma sont détectées au moyen d'un laser de mesure, de façon retardée dans le temps par rapport à la désintégration du revêtement à l'aide du laser de traitement.
