Abstract of the Disclosure A method for studying enzymatic and other biochemical reactivity of a substance with a substrate specific for the biochemical reaction, which method comprises: providing a measuring device having electrodes coated with said substrate ant immersed ill a solution; determining the capacitance between said electrodes for the establishment of a control value; introducing said substance to said solution of the measuring device; and measuring the capaci- tance between said electrodes a second time to obtain a quantitative measure of the reactivity of the substance with said substrate. The method is parti- cularly suitable for the determination of enzyme activity of the type serin proteases.
