The depletion of a fluxing bath consisting of an aqueous NH4Cl and ZnCl2 solution is balanced out by adding an NH4Cl and ZnCl2 solution prepared by reacting the used pickling or de-zincification solution with galvanising ash or spelter to produce a zinc-enriched solution with a depleted HCl content, and adding hydrogen peroxide and ammonia to said solution in a purifying station to precipitate out the iron as Fe(OH)3 which is then separated. If the iron content of the fluxing bath gradually increases, the fluxing solution is circulated through the above-mentioned purifying station.

On compense la consommation d'un bain de fluxage, constitué d'une solution aqueuse de NH4Cl et de ZnCl2, en y ajou- tant une solution de NH4Cl et de ZnCl2, que l'on prépare en faisant réagir de la solution de décapage usée ou de la solution de dézingage usée avec des cendres ou des mattes de galvanisation de manière à produire une solution enrichie en zinc et appauvrie en HCl et en ajoutant à cette solution, dans un poste d'épuration, de l'eau oxygénée et de l'ammoniaque de ma- nière à précipiter le fer sous la forme de Fe(OH)3 que l'on sépare. Si le bain de fluxage s'enrichit progressivement de fer, on fait circuler la solution de fluxage à travers le poste d'épuration susdit.
