A system and method for modeling and evaluating resource requirements of services is disclosed. The system and method in one aspect enable describing an application session in a software model, for example, as a sequence of events in a sequence diagram, annotating the sequence diagram with information and using the sequence diagram and the information to create a mathematical model such as a Markov model that represents the application session. Once in Markov form the service can be analyzed.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé pour modéliser et évaluer des besoins en ressources de services. Selon un aspect de l'invention, le système et le procédé permettent la description d'une session d'application dans une maquette logicielle, par exemple sous forme d'une séquence d'événements dans un diagramme de séquences, l'annotation du diagramme de séquences à l'aide d'informations ; et l'utilisation du diagramme de séquences et des informations pour créer un modèle mathématique tel que le modèle de Markov qui représente la session d'applications. Une fois que le service se présente sous la forme du modèle de Markov, il peut être analysé.
