The invention relates to a method for testing the coating (36) of a vane base that comprises: providing a so-called disc specimen (22) including at least one bearing surface, and another so-called vane specimen (32) including at least one bearing surface (34) covered with said coating and comprising two semi-specimens (32) which can be inserted on either side of the disc specimen; subjecting the vane specimen (32) inserted with the disc specimen (22) to pulling cycles during which a specimen is pulled relative to the other, the pulling force being transmitted via the contacted bearing surfaces of the vane specimen and of the disc specimen. The method can be used for a very reliable reproduction of the coating behaviour and ageing, and thus enable an accurate evaluation of the quality of coatings.

Pour ce procédé pour tester un revêtement (36) pour pied d'aube, - on fournit une éprouvette dite de disque (22) comportant au moins une portée, et une autre éprouvette dite d'aube (32) comportant au moins une portée (34) revêtue dudit revêtement, et se composant de deux demi- éprouvettes (32) aptes à être engagées de part et d'autre de l'éprouvette de disque; - on soumet l'éprouvette d'aube (32) engagée avec l'éprouvette de disque (22) à des cycles de traction pendant lesquels une éprouvette est sollicitée en traction par rapport à l'autre, l'effort de traction se transmettant via les portées en contact de l'éprouvette d'aube et de l'éprouvette de disque. Ce procédé permet de reproduire de manière très fidèle le comportement et le vieillissement du revêtement et ainsi permet une évaluation juste de la qualité des revêtements.
