A method for the assessment of the inhibitory activity of an antibody for inhibiting the binding of IGF-1 and/or IGF-2 to IGF-1R in a lysed PBL sample of a mammal which has been treated with said antibody, characterized in that the IGF-1R protein level of said PBLs is measured as a measure for the inhibitory activity of said antibody.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour l'évaluation de l'activité inhibitrice d'un anticorps pour inhiber la liaison d'IGF-1 et/ou IGF-2 à IGF-1R dans un échantillon de PBL lysé d'un mammifère qui a été traité avec ledit anticorps, caractérisé par le fait que le niveau de protéine IGF-1R desdits PLB est mesuré en tant que mesure pour l'activité inhibitrice dudit anticorps.
