This invention relates to disgnostic methods for the detection of one or more cytochrome b mutations in fungi at the position corresponding to Saccharomyces cerevisiae cytochromeb residue 129 that leads to resistance to strobilurin analogues or compounds in the same cross resistance group using any (or a) single nucleotide polymorphism detection technique, preferably using either an allele specific amplification technique such as the amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS) or preferably using an allele selective hybridisation probe technique such as Molecular Beacons or TaqMan. The invention also relates to mutation specific oligonucleotides for use in the method and to diagnostic kits containing these oligonucleotides.

La présente invention concerne des méthodes diagnostiques permettant de détecter une ou plusieurs mutations de cytochrome b dans des champignons, à l'emplacement correspondant au résidu 129 de cytochrome b Saccharomyces cerevisiae, qui conduit à une résistance aux analogues de strobilurine ou à des composés du même groupe de résistance croisée, par mise en oeuvre d'une technique de détection de polymorphisme d'un nucléotide simple, de préférence par mise en oeuvre soit d'une technique d'amplification allèle spécifique, telle qu'une analyse ARMS (amplification refractory mutation system), soit d'une technique de sonde d'hybridation allèle sélective, telle que <= molecular beacons >= ou <= TaqMan >=.
