Disclosed is a method for detecting strip edges in a cold rolling mill and/or strip-forming system. According to said method, the strip edges (13, 14) are continuously recorded in a contactless manner by means of two optical recognition systems, the right strip edge (14) and the left strip edge (13) are detected along a strip length exceeding 800 mm with the aid of an image recording device (4, 5), the image data is transmitted to a computer (11) and is processed there, and the shape of the strip edge determined in said fashion is taken into account during the regulation process.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour détecter des bords de feuillards dans un laminoir à froid et/ou une installation à feuillards, procédé selon lequel deux systèmes de reconnaissance optique détectent en continu et sans contact les bords de feuillards (13, 14). Selon l'invention, le bord droit (14) et le bord gauche (13) d'un feuillard sont saisis par un dispositif de prise de vue (4, 5) sur une longueur de feuillard supérieure à 800 mm et les données images sont transmises à un ordinateur (11) qui les traite, le tracé des bords de feuillards ainsi saisi étant pris en compte lors du réglage.
