The invention relates to a counter-current extraction process with which the starting material to be extracted is conveyed in an extruder through zones of high and low pressure. The zones of high and low pressure can, for example, be formed by different screw elements of opposing pitch. Extractant is fed in in the high pressure zones which are located upstream of the screw elements of opposing pitch. The extractant then flows in counter-current to a discharge opening which is located in or close to the low pressure zone, downstream of a screw element of opposing pitch. With the extraction method according to the present invention a stable counter-current extraction process can be obtained over a very short extraction length and a high extraction yield can be achieved within a short time by intensive mixing of the starting material with the extractant. Furthermore, high pressures can be used in the extraction apparatus according to the present invention since the discharge openings are located close to the low pressure zones. As a result the extraction yield is further increased and extraction fluids in supercritical state can be used.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'extraction à contre-courant dans lequel la matière de départ à extraire est acheminée dans une extrudeuse à travers des zones de haute pression et des zones de basse pression. Ces zones de haute pression ou de basse pression peuvent être formées, par exemple, par différents éléments à vis de pas opposé. Un solvant d'extraction est alimenté dans les zones de haute pression situées en amont des éléments à vis de pas opposé. Le solvant d'extraction s'écoule ensuite à contre-courant vers un orifice de déchargement situé dans ou à proximité de la zone de basse pression en aval des éléments à vis de pas opposé. Le procédé de l'invention permet de réaliser une extraction à contre-courant stable sur une longueur d'extraction très courte, et d'obtenir un rendement d'extraction élevé dans un court laps de temps par mélange intensif de la matière de départ et du solvant d'extraction. De plus, selon l'invention, des pressions élevées peuvent être mises en oeuvre dans l'appareil d'extraction puisque les orifices de déchargement sont situés à proximité des zones de basse pression. Il en résulte un accroissement supplémentaire du rendement d'extraction et la possibilité d'utiliser des fluides d'extraction supercritiques.
