Novel compositions are provided for introducing into a cell, a nucleic acid molecule capable of modulating the genotype and phenotype. The gene can be introduced into a mammalian host by way of an expression vector either as naked DNA or conjugated to carriers, particularly cationic carriers. The conjugation is accomplished by means of an ethylene-containing moiety tethered to the nucleic acid molecule. The techniques and compositions find use in the palliation or treatment of any of a variety of genetic-based disorders.

L'invention concerne de nouvelles compositions permettant d'introduire dans une cellule une molécule d'acide nucléique capable de moduler le génotype et le phénotype. Le gène peut être introduit dans un hôte mammalien au moyen d'un vecteur d'expression sous forme d'ADN nu ou conjugué à des supports, en particulier des supports cationiques. La conjugaison s'effectue au moyen d'une fraction contenant de l'éthylène reliée à la molécule d'acide nucléique. Les techniques et compositions selon l'invention s'utilisent pour soigner ou traiter n'importe laquelle d'une série de troubles génétiques.
