The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a composite cooling element for the melt zone of a metallurgical reactor, whereby the element is manufactured by attaching ceramic lining sections to each other by copper casting and forming at the same time a copper plate equipped with cooling water channels behind the lining. The invention also relates to composite cooling elements manufactured by this method.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un élément composite réfrigérant destiné à être utilisé dans la zone de fusion d'un réacteur métallurgique. On fabrique cet élément en assemblant deux sections de revêtement céramique l'une à l'autre en coulant du cuivre et en formant, dans le même temps, une plaque de cuivre sur laquelle sont ménagés des passages d'eau de refroidissement, sous ledit revêtement. Cette invention concerne également des éléments composites réfrigérants fabriqués selon ce procédé.
