In a method for making a fibrous product from separate particles, an air flow (A) is used for forming a mat on an advancing forming platform (1). The particles are bonded to form the mat by means of thermally activatable binder material brought to the mat forming site such that it upon being activated through the action of heat bonds the particles to each other in the mat. Said binder material is brought to an activated state already in air flow (A) carrying the particles onto forming platform (1) by setting temperature of the air flow sufficiently high The material forming the base of the mat in the particles is constituted of a material activatable at a higher temperature than the thermally activatable binder material.

Procédé de fabrication d'un produit fibreux à partir de particules séparées dans lequel un flux d'air (A) est utilisé pour former un mat sur une plate-forme de formage (1) en mouvement. Lesdites particules sont liées pour former le mat à l'aide d'un liant à activation thermique apporté sur le site de formage du mat de telle façon que, lorsqu'il est activé par l'action de la chaleur, ledit liant lie les particules entre elles dans le mat. Ledit matériau liant est déjà mis en état d'activation dans un flux d'air (A) acheminant les particules sur la plate-forme de formage (1) par réglage de la température du flux d'air à un niveau suffisamment élevé. Le matériau formant la base du mat dans les particules présente une température d'activation plus élevée que le matériau liant à activation thermique.
