In a method for the manufacture of sand cores for metal casting processes by the urethane Cold Box Process gaseous trimethylamine is conducted through parts of a metering device (3) and then, in a concentration of from 0.01 to 0.12 wt.% based on the quantity of sand used per core into a core shooting machine (4) where it is brought into contact with the sand, and prior to the introduction of the gaseous trimethylamine into the core shooting machine (4) a purging gas is introduced, the relationship between the trimethylamine and the purging gas being such that for a quantity T of trimethylamine the quantity L of purging gas used is in the ratio of T:L of from 1:1000 to 1:10000.

Dans un procédé de fabrication de noyaux en sable destinés à des processus de fonte de métaux par moulage en boîte froide à l'uréthane, de la triméthylamine gazeuse est acheminée à travers des parties d'un dispositif de mesure (3). Ensuite, dans une concentration comprise entre 0,01 et 0,12 % en poids par rapport à la quantité de sable utilisée par noyau dans une machine à tirer les noyaux (4), et préalablement à l'introduction de la triméthylamine gazeuse à l'intérieur de ladite machine dans laquelle elle est mise au contact du sable, on introduit un gaz de purge, le rapport entre la triméthylamine et le gaz de purge étant tel que pour une quantité T de triméthylamine, la quantité L de gaz de purge utilisée correspond au ratio T:L compris entre 1:1000 et 1:10000.
