PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de réaliser des barres et tubes en acier à hautes caractéris- tiques mécaniques. Le procédé consiste à élaborer un acier faiblement allié contenant 0,06 a 0,12 % de carbone ainsi que des additions à des teneurs bien déterminées de Si, Mn, Nb, Al, B et éventuellement V. L'acier est utilisé à l'état brut de laminage à chaud, suivi éventuellement d'un revenu. Les barres et tubes ainsi obtenus sont utilisés pour des applications dans lesquelles il est nécessaire d'avoir une limite élastique élevée associée à une grande résilience.
