Abstract of the Disclosure A method is disclosed for the manufacture of a heat-insulated slab element, such as a heat insulated hollow concrete slab wherein sheet-shaped heat-insulation elements are laid onto a concreting base before the reinforce- ment and concreting of the slab. The top faces of the insulation elements are shaped to provide shallow grooves or basins that are filled with water before the slab is cast. This causes an increase in the water-to-cement ratio of the concrete at the bottom of the slab and renders the concrete sufficiently fluid that it covers the top face of the insulation and is cemented securely thereto.
