The invention pertains to the field of passive radars and more particularly to the processing of signals exploited by such radars. The method for processing the received signal according to the invention carries out coherent processing operations for ridding the useful signal from parasitic signals (mainly the reference signal and its multiple reflections), for regenerating the transmission signal and for carrying out a coherent integration of the received signal by calculating the crossed ambiguity between the received signal and the regenerated transmission signal. The method also carries out non-coherent processing operations in particular for realising and distance-Doppler extraction and purification operations for forming blips and removing the parasitic blips present among the formed blips. The invention is essentially intended for passive radars operating on non co-operative opportunity transmissions, such as FM transmissions for the general public.
La présente invention concerne le domaine des radars passifs, et plus particulièrement le domaine du traitement des signaux exploités par de tels radars. Le procédé de traitement du signal reçu selon l'invention effectue des opérations de traitement cohérent permettant notamment de purger le signal utile des signaux parasites (en particulier le signal de référence et ses réflexions multiples), de régénérer le signal d'émission et d'effectuer une intégration cohérente du signal reçu en calculant l'ambiguïté croisée entre le signal reçu et le signal d'émission régénéré. Il effectue également des opérations de traitement non cohérent permettant en particulier de réaliser des opérations d'extraction et d'épuration distance doppler permettant de former des plots et d'éliminer les plots parasites présents parmi les plots formés. L'invention s'applique notamment aux radars passifs fonctionnant sur des émissions d'opportunité non coopérantes, tells que les émissions FM destinées au public.
