The invention relates to a method for the non-destructive testing of a test object (100) by way of ultrasound, said method comprising the following steps: (a) radiating directed ultrasonic pulses into the test object (100) at an irradiation angle .beta., said irradiation angle .beta. being set electronically, (b) recording echo signals that result from the ultrasonic pulses radiated into the test object (100), (c) determining an irradiation position X0 in which echo signals can be recorded that can be associated with an error (102) in the volume of the test object, (d) determining the irradiation angle .beta.max for which the ERS value of the error (102) reaches its maximum at position X0, (e) changing the irradiation position X0.fwdarw.X1 on the surface of the test object (100), the change of the irradiation position being captured, (f) electronically adjusting the irradiation angle .beta. in such a manner that the ERS value of the error (102) reaches its maximum in the changed irradiation position X1. The invention further relates to a device which is suitable for carrying out said method.

L'invention concerne un procédé servant à examiner un spécimen (100) au moyen d'ultrasons sans le détruire, et consistant en les étapes suivantes: (a) balayage du spécimen (100) par des impulsions ultrasonores dirigées selon un angle de balayage ß réglé électroniquement; (b) réception de signaux d'écho résultant des impulsions ultrasonores ayant balayé le spécimen (100); détermination d'une position de balayage X0 dans laquelle des signaux d'écho peuvent être reçus, lesdits signaux pouvant être attribués à un défaut (102) du volume du spécimen; (d) détermination de l'angle de balayage ßmax pour lequel la valeur ERS du défaut (102) dans la position X0 sera maximum; (e) modification de la position de balayage X0 -> X1 sur la surface du spécimen (100), la modification de la position de balayage étant détectée; (f) poursuite électronique de l'angle de balayage ß jusqu'à ce que la valeur ERS du défaut (102) dans la position de balayage modifiée X1 soit maximum. L'invention concerne également un dispositif permettant de mettre le procédé en application.
