The invention relates to a method for the passivation of the surface of an intraocular lens, the surface of which comprises reactive Bronsted sites. Conventional methods of the above type create changes on the original material and exhibit undesired interactions with medical adjuncts. The aim of the invention is to describe a method in which the intraocular lens is passivated and coated in an advantageous manner and only minimal changes are brought about on the original material. Said aim is achieved, whereby the intraocular lens is dipped in a solution of a fluoroalkylsilane of general formula RF - (CH2)n - Si - (O-R)3, where R = H, CH3, C2H5, or C3H7 and the fluoroalkyl group RF = CF3 (CF2)m where m = 3 to 11 and n = 0 to 4, whereby the Bronsted centres on the surface are deactivated by formation of Si-O bonds.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant la passivation de la surface d'une lentille intra-oculaire dont la surface contient des centres de Brönstedt réactifs. Dans l'état de la technique, des procédés de ce type sont à l'origine de modifications de la matière initiale et d'interactions indésirables avec des agents médicaux auxiliaires. L'invention a pour objet la mise au point d'un procédé qui permet une passivation avantageuse et le traitement antireflet de la lentille intra-oculaire, en ne produisant que des modifications minimales de la matière initiale. A cet effet, la lentille intra-oculaire est plongée dans une solution d'un fluoroalkyl silane de formule générale R¿F? - (CH¿2?)¿n? - Si - (O-R)¿3?, dans laquelle: le radical R est choisi parmi le groupe comprenant H, CH¿3?, C¿2?H¿5?, C¿3?H¿7?; et le radical fluoroalkyle R¿F? correspond à CF¿3? (CF¿2?)¿m? où m = 3 à 11; et n = 0 à 4; les centres de Brönstedt étant désactivés à la surface par formation de liaisons Si-O.
