Method for the preparation of 1,3-oxazolidin 5-carboxylic acid having the general formula (I) from a product having the general formula (II). In the general forumlas (I) and (II), Ar is an aryl radical, R1 is a benzoyl radical or a radical R2-O-CO- wherein R2 is an alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, bicycloalkyl, phenyl or heterocyclyl radical, Ph is an optionnally substituted phenyl radical, X is the residue of an optically active organic base or an alkoxy radical optionally substitued by a phenyl radical. The acids of formula (I) are particularly useful in preparing taxol, Taxoter or analogs thereof which have remarkable antitumor and antileukemia properties.

Procédé de préparation d'un acide oxazolidine-1,3 carboxylique-5 de formule générale (I) à partir d'un produit de formule générale (II). Dans les formules générales (I) et (II): Ar représente un radical aryle éventuellement substitué, R1 représente un radical benzoyle éventuellement substitué ou un radical R2-O-CO- dans lequel R2 représente un radical alcoyle, alcényle, alcynyle, cycloalcoyle, cycloalcényle, bicycloalcoyle, phényle ou hétérocyclyle éventuellement substitué, Ph représente un radical phényle éventuellement substitué, X représente le reste d'une base organique optiquement active ou un radical alcoxy éventuellement substitué par un radical phényle. Les acides de formule générale (I) sont particulièrement utiles pour préparer le Taxol*, le Taxotère* ou leurs analogues qui présentent des propriétés antitumorales et antileucémiques remarquables.
