The invention relates to a method for preparing a biological material (2) for examination under a microscope. According to said method, the biological material (2) arranged on an object carrier (1) is provided with a layer (3) consisting of a transparent preparation, mixture and/or pure substance dissolved in a solvent, which condenses or reacts as the solvent progressively escapes, in such a way that said layer (3) comprising the preparation, mixture and/or pure substance enables unevenness in the surface of the biological material (2) to be levelled out and thus the optical examination properties of the preparation to be improved. Furthermore, the layer (3) comprising the preparation, mixture and/or pure substance supports the entire preparation in its structure, such that when used in a laser microdissection system, the layer (3) comprising the preparation, mixture and/or pure substance, and the biological material (2) beneath, can be processed, cut or catapulted by means of a laser beam.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une matière biologique (2) pour une analyse au microscope. Ce procédé consiste à appliquer sur la matière biologique (2), placée sur une lame porte-objet (1), une couche (3) composée d'une préparation, d'un mélange et/ou d'une substance pure transparents dissous dans un solvant, lesquels se condensent ou réagissent lors de la volatilisation progressive du solvant de telle sorte que la couche (3) comprenant la préparation, le mélange et/ou la substance pure permette d'égaliser la surface de la matière biologique (2) et par là même d'améliorer les caractéristiques optiques d'analyse de la préparation. Cette couche (3) comprenant la préparation, le mélange et/ou la substance pure permet par ailleurs de soutenir l'ensemble de la préparation dans sa structure de sorte que, lors d'une utilisation dans un système de microdissection laser, ladite couche (3) comprenant la préparation, le mélange et/ou la substance pure, ainsi que la matière biologique (2) située sous celle-ci puissent être travaillées, découpées ou catapultées à l'aide d'un rayon laser.
