ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The dispersing agent in the suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride according to the inventive method is a combination of a monomer-soluble non-ionic surface active agent and a partially crosslinked copolymer of an ethylenic- ally unsaturated polymerizable carboxylic acid compound and a compound having at least two ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable linkages in the molecule. By virtue of the spe- cific dispersing agent, the powdery polyvinyl chloride resin obtained by the polymerization has a high bulk density, a greatly decreased number of fish eyes and remarkably improv- ed thermal stability.
