ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An enzymic hydrolysis method is disclosed for the preparation of D-carbamyl aminoacids and the correspond- ing D-aminoacids. The method is based on the use of certain. substi- tuted hydantoins as the starting materials and these are hydrolized, in a temperature range from 10°C to 70°C, with hydropyrimidine hydrolase from calf livers, The pH range is from 8 to 9. The method in question is cheaper and more reliable than those of the prior art.
