ABSTRACT A method for electrostatic separation of clay-containing sylvinitic crude potassium salts in several separation steps is described. According to this method a potassium fertilizer salt having a K2O content of at least 60 percent by weight is obtained in a 3-step separation in free-fall separators, and fractions from which valuable potassium compounds are recover- able are obtained by way of dissolving processes or conductivity separation.
