The invention relates to a method for the pressure-free sintering of metal alloys and to the use thereof in the production of hollow spheres. According to the invention, hollow metal spheres are heated under a high vacuum in the presence of an organic material to a temperature close to the melting temperature of a eutectic between carbon from the organic material and the metal components of said spheres.
