The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for preventing the drivers of vehicles from overlooking light vehicles, when turning the vehicle, where the light vehicle comprises means for transmitting a radio signal, where the vehicle comprises means for receiving the radio signal, where the vehicle comprises information means for informing the driver of the presence of a light vehicle near the vehicle. It is the object of the invention to prevent the drivers of vehicles and lorries from over- looking pedal bikes and other light vehicles, when turning the vehicle. The vehicle comprises means for transmitting a radio signal to the light vehicle, where the light vehicle comprises means for receiving the radio signal, and where the means on the light vehicle convert the received radio signals into electric power, which power is used for the means to transmit a radio signal to at least one receiver, which receiver is placed on the vehicle. This ensures that a very reliable radio transmitting device can be used on the light vehicle. As the circuit on the light vehicle operates without any kind of power supply, it is independent of batteries that may run down. The driver of the vehicle is warned of light vehicles by means of light emitting diodes, which flash in front of him and also by means of an acoustic signal. Thus, the driver will recognize light vehicles approaching his vehicle, and he will know when it is safe to make a turn.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil destinés à empêcher les conducteurs de véhicules de ne pas voir des véhicules légers, lors d~un changement de direction du véhicule, le véhicule léger comprenant un moyen permettant de transmettre un signal radio, le véhicule comprenant un moyen permettant de recevoir le signal radio, le véhicule comprenant un moyen d~information permettant d~informer le conducteur de la présence d~un véhicule léger près du véhicule. L~invention vise à empêcher les conducteurs de véhicules et de camions de ne pas voir les vélos et autres véhicules légers, lors d~un changement de direction du véhicule. Le véhicule comprend un moyen permettant de transmettre un signal radio en direction du véhicule léger, le véhicule léger comprenant un moyen permettant de recevoir le signal radio, qui convertit le signal radio reçu en puissance électrique, laquelle puissance permet de transmettre un signal radio à au moins un récepteur placé sur le véhicule. Ceci permet d~utiliser un dispositif d~émission radio très fiable sur le véhicule léger. Comme le circuit sur le véhicule léger fonctionne sans alimentation électrique, il ne dépend pas de batteries risquant de se décharger. Le conducteur du véhicule est averti de la présence de véhicules légers au moyen de diodes électroluminescentes qui clignotent devant lui et également d~un signal acoustique. Ainsi, le conducteur peut reconnaître les véhicules légers s~approchant de son véhicule, et il saura quand changer de direction sans danger.
