A method for the production of fatty acid esters of primary and/or secondary alcohols from raw, unpurified oils or fats containing free fatty acids and slimy substances or from waste oils loaded with free fatty acids from the food industry. Acidic catalytic esterification is performed on the free fatty acids along with extensive deactivation of the slimy substances present with respect to the disadavantageous emulsion-forming property thereof, whereby a water- free primary and/or secondary alcohol and a highly acidic hygroscopic catalyst are added to the starting substance in the form of crude oil or fat or waste oil, the reaction product is rinsed with glycol from a prior alkaline transesterification, whereupon alkaline transesterification occurs for the unmodified remaining glyceridically bound fatty acids in the reaction product of the acidic-catalytic esterification process.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'esters d'acides gras d'alcools primaires et/ou secondaires, à partir d'huiles ou de graisses brutes, non purifiées, contenant des acides gras libres et des substances visqueuses, ou bien à partir d'huiles usées de l'industrie alimentaire, chargées en acides gras libres. Selon ledit procédé on procède d'abord à une estérification catalysée par un acide des acides gras libres associée à une désactivation la plus importante possible des substances visqueuses présentes, en ce qui concerne leur propriété de formation d'émulsion, laquelle constitue un inconvénient. A cet effet, on ajoute à la substance de départ, qui se présente sous la forme d'huile ou de graisse brute ou d'huile usée, un alcool exempt d'eau primaire et/ou un alcool exempt d'eau secondaire, ainsi qu'un catalyseur fortement acide, hygroscopique. Ensuite le produit de réaction est lavé avec de la glycérine provenant d'une transestérification et l'on procède à une transestérification avec catalysation alcaline des acides gras à liaison glycéridique qui se trouvent encore à l'état non modifié dans le produit de réaction de l'estérification catalysée par un acide.
