A novel method for producing glucagon is provided. The method comprises the steps of, preparing a fusion protein shown by the following formula: X-Glu-Glucagon (I) wherein X is a leader sequence of 70-170 amino acids, Glu is a glutamic acid residue, and Glucagon represents the amino acid sequence of glucagon, and treating the fusion protein with an enzyme that specifically hydrolyzes the peptide bonds at the carboxyl termini of the glutamic acid residues, resulting in cleavage of the fusion protein.

Une nouvelle méthode d'obtention du glucagon est présentée. Elle comprend les étapes de préparation d'une protéine hybride décrite par la formule suivante : X-Glu-glucagon (I) où X correspond à une séquence initiale de 70 à 170 acides aminés, où Glu est un résidu de l'acide glutamique et où glucagon correspond à la séquence des acides aminés du glucagon. La méthode comprend les étapes de traitement de la protéine hybride par une enzyme qui hydrolyse spécifiquement les liens peptidiques aux extrémités carboxyliques des résidus d'acide glutamique, résultant dans le clivage de la protéine hybride.
