The method aims at obtaining from waste and more particularly from municipal solid waste (MSW) the energy contained therein at the highest level for industrial use by means of natural technologies and with low environmental impact. The method, denoted by the acronym NEW (Natural Energy from Waste) operates through the following process phases: a) aerobic digestion of the putrescible biological part to produce stabilised waste which is easy to handle, b) separation of a fraction rich in materials with a high heat value, c) storage of the residue, rich in biodegradable and inert substances, compacted into appropriate geometrical shapes in bioreactors which can be activated and sealed, d) activation of the bioreactors with water and their service in time during anaerobic digestion to supply biogas to be used for the production of energy, e) bio-stabilisation and dehydration of the residual material of the anaerobic treatment with air, f) possible recovery of the materials produced in this way. In this way the energy contained in the waste, is extracted at the most refined level in the form of plastic, plastic/paper and methane for energy uses with maximum yield and reduced production of ash, and the end material leaving the bioreactors is fully exhausted of its energy content and inertised.
Le mode de réalisation décrit dans cette invention consiste à obtenir, à partir de déchets, plus particulièrement à partir de déchets urbains, l'énergie continue dans ces déchets au plus haut niveau pour des besoins industriels en utilisant des technologies naturelles ayant un faible impact sur l'environnement. Le procédé décrit dans cette invention, intitulé NEW (Natural Energy from Waste) comprend les étapes suivantes: a) digestion aérobie d'éléments biologiques putrescibles afin de produire des déchets stabilisés facile à manipuler, b) séparation d'une fraction riche en matériaux présentant une valeur calorifique élevée, c) stockage des résidus riches en substances inertes et biodégradables, compactés dans des formes géométriques appropriées dans des bioréacteurs pouvant être activés et scellés, d) activation des bioréacteur avec de l'eau et mise en service de ceux-ci pendant la digestion anaérobie afin de fournir du gaz biologique qui servira pour la production d'énergie, e) biostabilisation et déshydratation du matériau résiduel provenant du traitement anaérobie avec de l'air, f) récupération éventuelle des matériaux produit de cette manière. De cette façon, l'énergie contenue dans les déchets est extraite au niveau le plus affiné sous forme de plastique, de plastique/papier et de méthane pour des utilisations d'énergie avec des rendements maximums et une production réduite de cendres, et le produit fini sortant des bioréacteurs est totalement vidé de sa teneur énergétique et il est rendu inerte.
