The invention relates to a method for the production of optically active 2- amino-, 2 chloro-, 2-hydroxy- or 2-alkoxy-1-alkanoles by catalytic hydrogenation of corresponding optically active 2-amino-, -chloro-, 2-hydroxy- and 2-alkoxy carboxylic acids or the acid derivatives thereof. According to the inventive method, hydrogenation is carried out in the presence of palladium and rhenium or catalysts containing palladium and rhenium.

L'invention concerne des procédés pour produire des alcanols optiquement actifs, à savoir des 2-amino-alcanols, 2 chloro-alcanols, 2-hydroxy-alcanols ou 2-alcoxy-1-alcanols par hydrogénation catalytique des acides carboxyliques optiquement actifs correspondants, donc des acides carboxyliques 2-amino, 2-chloro, 2-hydroxy et 2-alcoxy, ou bien de leurs dérivés acides. L'hydrogénation est réalisée en présence de catalyseurs contenant du palladium et du rhénium ou du platine et du rhénium.
