The instant invention relates to a new method for the purification of proteins using copper chelate-affinity chromatography, wherein the impure or pre- purified protein is adsorbed on immobilized copper(II) ions, optionally washed with buffer and deionized water, washed with a solution of a Lewis-base, and finally eluted with deionized water.

L'invention porte sur un nouveau procédé de purification de protéines par chromatographie à affinité cuivre/chélate dans lequel les protéines impures ou avant purification sont adsorbées sur des ions immobilisés de cuivre (II) éventuellement lavés à l'aide de tampons et d'eau désionisée, lavés à l'aide d'une solution d'une base de Lewis, et finalement éluées à l'aide d'eau désionisée.
