ABSTRACT Zearalenone is recovered from an aqueous mix- ture including zearalenone, water and undissolved solids by a method comprising dissolving the zearalenone by con- tacting it with a zearalenone-dissolving mixture of water and a water-miscible, organic solvent, removing the undis- solved solids, increasing the proportion of water to organic solvent to precipitate the zearalenone and re- covering the precipitated zearalenone.
