The present application describes a methodology aiming at the removal of the harmful ash constituents from the ash of biomass, such as alkali metals, chlorine and sulfur, prior to its thermochemical conversion, in order to minimize/eliminate the ash-related corrosion, deposition and agglomeration problems, as well as the emissions of alkali metals, chlorine and sulfur. This removal is achieved by a combined pre-treatment method which includes the prepyrolysis of biomass at temperatures varying in the range of 200-300°C and for a period of 5min up to 2h, followed by the leaching of the biomass materials using water with a solid/water mass ratio varying from 33g/L up to 300g/L with the water temperature varying from 13°C up to 55°C and the residence time varying from 5 min up to 24 h.
La présente invention concerne une méthodologie visant à éliminer les constituants de cendres nocifs des cendres issues de biomasse, tels que les métaux alcalins, le chlore et le soufre, avant leur transformation thermochimique, afin de réduire au minimum/éliminer la corrosion liée aux cendres, les problèmes de dépôt et d'agglomération, ainsi que les émissions de métaux alcalins, de chlore et de soufre. Cette élimination s'obtient par un procédé de pré-traitement combiné qui comprend la pré-pyrolyse de biomasse à des températures variant de 200 à 300 °C pendant une période de temps variant de 5 minutes jusqu'à 2 heures, suivie du lessivage des matériaux de biomasse en utilisant de l'eau avec un rapport pondéral matière solide/eau variant de 33g/l à 300g/l, la température de l'eau variant de 13 °C à 55 °C et le temps de résidence variant de 5 min à 24 h.
