ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Method for a single-step production of vinyl polymers by a heterogeneous polymerization in bulk under the effect of organometallic catalysts up to a high degree of conversion. According to this method a vinyl monomer is charged into a vertical reactor provided with planetary stirrers placed outside the reactor axis, then a solution of an organometalic catalyst is introduced under stirring in partial doses of size 10-5 to 10-3 mole up to the final amount of 5x10-4 to 5x10-2 mole of catalyst per mole of the monomer. The batch is stirred, the formed compact mass is cut and disintegrated with the planetary stirrers and, at the same time, wiped out from the surface of reactor with wiping blades until the batch acquires a powdery form, and the product is discharged. And a reactor for carrying out the method.
