A rapid method for characterizing and identifying microorganisms using Focal- Plane Array (FPA)- Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is disclosed. Multi-pixels spectral images of unknown microorganisms spectra are analyzed and compared to spectra of reference microorganisms in databases. The method allows rapid and highly reliable identification of unknown microorganisms for the purpose of medical diagnosis, food and environmental control.
La présente invention concerne un procédé rapide de caractérisation et d'identification de micro-organismes par spectroscopie à l'infrarouge avec transformation de Fourier (FTIR) à ensemble de plan focal (PFA). Des images spectrales à pixels multiples de spectres de micro-organismes inconnus sont analysées et comparées aux spectres de micro-organismes de référence dans des bases de données. Ce procédé permet une identification rapide et hautement fiable de micro-organismes inconnus dans un but de diagnostic médical, de contrôle d'aliment et de l'environnement.
