A method for integration of the institutional supply chain for medical products utilizing a nested bill of materials on a care event level of a clinical pathway (42), for one or more medical procedures (34, 36, 38, 40). The medical supplies appropriate for use in a care event are expressed as a bill of materials. Each item of medical supply is assigned a unique identifier which includes at least identification of the items itself, identification of the supplier of the items, and identification of the care event with which the item is to be used. Portions of the supplies are provided by multiple vendors (30, 32) to a unitized container sequencing centre where the supplies are bundled by care events and packaged into a unitized container. This container is then shipped to a customer or distributor for further shipment to a customer.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant l'intégration du processus d'approvisionnement en produits médicaux d'un établissement à l'aide d'une nomenclature des produits emboîtée au niveau des prestations de soins de santé associés au processus clinique (42), d'un ou plusieurs actes médicaux (34,36,38,40). Les fournitures médicales nécessaires à la prestation sont exprimées sous forme d'une nomenclature de produits. A chaque article de fourniture médicale est attribué un identificateur unique comprenant au moins une identification de l'article lui-même, une identification du fournisseur de l'article, et une identification de la prestation à laquelle l'article est destiné. Différentes parties des fournitures sont fournies par différents vendeurs (30,32) à un centre de distribution de conteneurs unitisés dans lequel les fournitures sont groupées par prestation et emballées dans un conteneur unitisé. Ce conteneur est alors expédié à un client ou à un distributeur qui l'expédie à son tour à un client.
