A method for suppressing a fire at a burning material comprising delivering to said burning material (a) an inert gas and (b) a gaseous compound selected from the group consisting of hydrofluorocarbon, an iodofluorocarbon, and a mixture thereof, gases (a) and (b) being delivered in a combined concentration sufficient to extinguish the fire.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à éteindre un feu sur un matériau en cours de combustion.
