- 23 - ABSTRACT METHOD FOR THE TRANSMISSION OF DATA USING FREQUENCY HOPPING ON A RADIO CHANNEL HAVING A LOW AVAILABILITY RATE AND CORRESPONDING RECEIVING DEVICE Method for the transmission of data using frequency hopping on a radio channel having a low availability rate between transmitter and receiver, the data being transmitted on successive frequency levels. It consists in: - defining a transmission time - setting the receiver to the transmission frequency of the transmitter at a predetermined instant before the time of transmission - synchronising the receiver on a sequence of synchronisation bits transmitted by the transmitter - detecting by correlation in the receiver the presence of a message on the transmission channel - demodulating in the receiver the data received from the transmission channel and in considering the data as being correct as long as the level of the signal carrying the data on the transmission channel has not started to decrease. Application: Radio transmission on meteoritic channel. FIGURE 9
