- 11 - Abstract of the Invention In a method for the transmission of digital data by means of phase modulation (PSK) and "frequency hop- ping", in which method the symbols (A, ..., F) are trans- mitted several times in different transmission sections (I, ..., IV) as synchronization information for coherent demodulation, weighting factors taking into considera- tion the existence and influence of a disturbance source are calculated for each symbol. The symbol values are multiplied by these weigh- ting factors before the values of corresponding symbols are linearly combined and utilized for evaluation. (Figure 1)
