The invention relates to a method for transferring information whose configuration is defined by formal language characterized by Abstract Syntax Notation One (ASN.1) for the definition of data structures. Transfer occurs in the form of a coded text, preferably as a clear text code. This enables the use of widely available text-oriented transfer means. The inventive method also enables an error search to be carried out without the use of additional tools.
