The invention is the use of a chelating agent with an ultrasonic device for the treatment of hair and other fibers. The treatment device includes an ultrasound generator, a comb device responsive to the generated ultrasonic waves, a reflector for reflecting the incident ultrasonic waves disposed on the distal end of the comb device, and a chelating agent preferably disposed within the treatment device. The treatment device efficaciously dispenses the chelating agent and ultrasonically treats the fiber.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un agent de chélation avec un appareil ultrasonore destiné au traitement de cheveux et d'autres fibres. Cet appareil de traitement comprend un générateur ultrasonore, un dispositif à peigne sensible aux ondes ultrasonores engendrées, un réflecteur permettant de réfléchir les ondes ultrasonores incidentes situé à l'extrémité distale du dispositif à peigne, et un agent de chélation, de préférence, placé au sein de l'appareil de traitement. Ledit appareil de traitement permet de distribuer efficacement l'agent de chélation et de traiter la fibre au niveau ultrasonore.
