Processes are provided for recovering precious metals from refractory materials using thiosulfate lixiviants and an oxygen-containing gas at or above atmospheric pressure. The processes can employ lixiviants that include at most only small amounts of copper and/or ammonia to control the degradation of the thiosulfate lixiviant. The process can also operate at a relatively low pH, in relatively inert atmospheres to control the production of polythionates which can complicate the recovery of the precious metals. The processes of the present invention provide relatively high rates of precious metal recovery.
L'invention concerne des processus de récupération de métaux précieux à partir de matériaux réfractaires au moyen de lixiviants thiosulfate. Dans ces processus, on peut utiliser des lixiviants qui comprennent tout au plus des petites quantités de cuivre et/ou d'ammoniac et fonctionnant à un pH relativement faible, on peut employer la réduction de polythionates, des atmosphères inertes servant à commander la production de polythionates, et des solutions électrolytiques fournissant des taux relativement élevés de récupération de métaux précieux.
