ABSTRACT An improved method of transporting cocoa beans to chocolate manufacturers in loose form, a way not presently done, through the use of a transfer station. At the transfer station the cocoa beans are unbagged or unpacked and cleaned by removing all impurities that are packed with the cocoa beans. Thereafter, the cocoa beans are stored in silos located at the transfer station and are then loaded into hopper rail cars or hopper trucks for transportation to the chocolate manufacturers for immediate use in the chocolate making process, allowing them to save on transportation costs, labor costs, storage costs, and allow them decrease the amount of property or space needed to operate a chocolate manufacturing plant. The improved method also saves the chocolate manufacturer machinery and maintenance costs as well as time.
